Terms and Conditions of Room Booking at Pema Thang Guest House
These Terms and Conditions are applicable for bookings made through our website pemathang.net (http://pemathang.net) as well as for Telephone / Email / Walk-in bookings.
The price of the accommodation includes the following: Electricity, linen, cleaning, hot water.
Meals are not included in the room tariff.
In consideration to other guests, pets are discouraged at this property.
Acceptance of Children
We welcome children of all ages.
Your accommodation will be available to you from noon 12:00 hours on the day of arrival, i.e., Check-in date, unless otherwise arranged. We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed time as we will be busy preparing your rooms.
Late arrival procedure
Please ensure you contact us no later than 15:00 hours on the Check-in date to let us know if you will be arriving late. Failure to notify us may result in the room being re-let or the full cost of the room being charged to you.
Please be ready to leave the accommodation by noon 12:00 hours on the day of departure, i.e., Check-out date, unless otherwise arranged with the Guest House Reception Desk. We will provide you with an invoice, payable on departure, for any additional services you may have used during your stay. Occupying the room beyond this time is considered an extra day.
Identity Proof for Domestic Guests
A Government-issued Identity Document (Passport or Driving License etc) in original, for every single guest in the booking, is needed at the time of check-in.
Identity Proof for International Guests
A Government-issued Passport and Visa in original, for each and every guest in the booking, is needed at the time of check-in.
Children below 8 years are allowed complimentary stay in the room with the parents. The rate for an extra adult person staying in the room will be 25% of the room tariff. However, only one extra adult person is allowed in double bed rooms.
For the extra adult person, 25% of the room tariff is charged extra. Maximum 2 children below 8 years age, are allowed complimentary stay, free of charge.
Damages and Breakages
Please take care when staying in our property. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause, to the accommodation or its contents. All we ask is that you report any incidents as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make an additional charge of 100% of cost of damage, if you did not report this.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
This agreement and each of its Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to the Website and/or Room Booking Transactions shall be governed by and constructed and enforced in accordance with, the laws of India; Pema Thang Guest House and its esteemed Guests shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dharamsala, Distt. Kangra, Himachal Pradesh (INDIA).

Any data collected during the course of this booking will be stored on our computer(s). With your permission we may from time to time contact you about promotions and offers. We will not share your details with any third party, unless legally obligated.
Pema Thang Guest House confirms that any personal or sensitive financial information (the "Confidential Information") relating to the Guests shall be kept confidential at all times and shall not be disclosed without prior permission of such Guests. Confidential Information shall remain the exclusive property of the Guests and Pema Thang Guest House shall maintain, and shall use prudent methods to cause its employees, officers, representatives, contracting parties and agents, to maintain the confidentiality and secrecy of such Confidential Information.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, Confidential Information shall not include any information to the extent it (i) is or becomes part of the public domain through no act or omission on the part of Pema Thang Guest House; (ii) is required to be disclosed pursuant to law, court order, subpoena or governmental authority; (iii) information is independently acquired by Pema Thang Guest House; (iv) disclosure with the prior written consent of the Guest.

Cancellation and Insurance
By making your booking, our agreement is a legal contract and your deposit is governed by the Cancellation Procedure.
Cancellation requests need to be sent to our email ID, or made in person at the Guest House Reception Desk by a member of the Guests List who are confirmed in the Booking. If request for cancellation (or partial cancellation i.e., reduction of numbers of rooms or period of stay) is received from the guest, group leader or agency 15 days or more prior to the check-in date, 80% of deposit can be refunded. If received within 14 days prior to the check-in date, no refund can be made. In case of premature departure, 50% for each cancelled day and room, would be forfeited by the guest.
Non-availability of Accommodation
We would only cancel your Booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the Booking. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Refund of Money
Refund amount, if any, shall be credited to your bank account and the email confirmation of the same shall be sent to you, within seven working days of the receipt of the Cancellation/Partial Cancellation Requests by Email from you. In case you wish to avail cash refund, this shall be provided along with a hard copy voucher of the Refund amount, at the Reception of the Guest House, any time after the receipt of the Cancellation/Partial Cancellation Requests by Email from you.
